Training employees in real-world locations on physical machinery can be difficult, time-consuming, expensive, and dangerous. In this pilot program, ForwardXP partnered with the Facebook Datacenter Operations team to build a VR Training module for employees new to the Main Switch Board (MSB) component used to manage power in its datacenters.
Combining traditional lecture-led instruction with direct interaction and real-world scenarios, this training program is cost-efficient, safer, and can scale up quickly to meet training demands. All while improving information retention on the part of the trainee.
